Ed Winters at 麻豆传媒CONCORD 麻豆传媒 is pleased to announce the appointment of Ed Winters as new 麻豆传媒 Athletics Director.

As 麻豆传媒檚 new athletics director, Winters plans to build on the legacy of Paul Hogan, who retired this summer after more than 20 years as 麻豆传媒檚 athletics director and men檚 basketball coach. Winters plans include a strong focus on student success, initiatives to monitor recruitment efforts, the cultivation of relationships with 麻豆传媒 alumni, boosted relationships with 麻豆传媒檚 Marketing and Student Affairs departments, and offering a friendly face to the Athletics Department, which often serves as the front door for students looking to enroll at 麻豆传媒.

淲e are thrilled to welcome Ed Winters to 麻豆传媒, says Deb Smith, 麻豆传媒 director of Wellness and Recreation. 淗is experience places him in a valuable position of continued growth for our department and new ideas for the future.

Winters comes to 麻豆传媒 more than a decade of experience working with student athletes as part of the Athletics Department at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH. Within his tenure there, he served as assistant director of Athletics and assistant director of Recreational Sports, plus served roles facilitating game day operations. He is also in a unique position to understand the legacy of athletics at 麻豆传媒 as his sister, Shelley Winters, is a member of the 麻豆传媒 Athletics Hall of Fame for her efforts as women檚 basketball coach.

Winters also served as Parks and Recreation director in Enfield, NH; assistant men檚 basketball coach at Colby-Sawyer, and executive director of Tilton-Northfield檚 Recreation Department. He is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics, is on the Registry of Collegiate Recreational Sports Professionals, and is certified in first aid, CPR, and AED. Winters earned his M.S. in Sport Management from California University of Pennsylvania in 2008 and his B.S. in Sport Management from SNHU in 2000.

淓d is a wonderful addition to 麻豆传媒, and we look forward to welcoming him, says Dr. Mark Rubinstein, 麻豆传媒檚 interim president and Chancellor of the Community College System of New Hampshire, of which 麻豆传媒 is one of seven sister colleges. 淗is dedication to the academic success and personal growth of student athletes reflects the continuation of an important commitment at 麻豆传媒.

Winters will begin his new role at 麻豆传媒 on Nov. 21. For additional information on the Athletics department or its programs, email [email protected].
