Gold entries stood out among similar-sized organizations, earning medals as the top 5% of the nation™s competitors in advertising excellence

National Recognition: Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Brings Home Two Advertising Awards

Advertising Awards 2023CONCORD, N.H. “ Âé¶¹´«Ã½ “ Concord™s Community College, part of the , has won two gold medals and one bronze medal for excellence in communications, marketing, advertising, and promotions by the (CAA), a national program honoring higher education organizations in advertising and marketing. The announcement was made March 31, 2023.

Âé¶¹´«Ã½™s radio ads targeting nontraditional students won a gold medal in the Radio “ Series category; the college™s multiverse concept TV commercial, which was created in partnership with Jon Caron Art from Nashua, N.H., won the gold medal in the TV/Video Advertising category; and Âé¶¹´«Ã½™s new mascot design, created by Âé¶¹´«Ã½ student artist Valeria Deforge, won the bronze medal in the Logos/Trademarks/Mascots category.

Proud Moment for Âé¶¹´«Ã½: Two American Advertising Awards Claimed

Amber Gavriluk, Âé¶¹´«Ã½™s marketing officer, wrote and conceptualized the TV commercial with Jon Caron, the owner/creative director of and frequent partner of the college. She also wrote and served as voice actor in the radio commercial series and spearheaded the effort to refresh the college™s Leroy the Lynx mascot design. Under Gavriluk, Âé¶¹´«Ã½ also won the CAA gold medal in 2020 for Student Viewbook design and digital presentation.

The 2022 CAA program attracted entries from the U.S. and Canada, representing a wide range of schools and universities from small community colleges to large institutions. Entries were judged by a panel of industry experts with criteria including creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality, and overall appeal. Submissions were reviewed and scored for a possible 100 total points. Gold awards received a judges™ score of 95 to 99 (top 5% in the nation); silver awards earned 90 to 94 (top 12% in the nation); and bronze awards earned 85 to 89 (top 16% in the nation).
